WHY MY 5 AGAINST YOUR 5 WAS FOUNDED

My organization was founded because of the belief that today’s youth is tomorrow’s leaders, and I believe basketball is the perfect way to teach these kids how to be apart of a team, build self-confidence, become our future leaders, and stay away from activities that are harmful to our communities.

In our neighborhood, playing the next game was always met with someone saying “we’ve already got our 5.” So, my neighbors and I started creating our own 5 and we always played together from the age of 8 till we graduated from high school. So, my organization’s name was born.
